What are 3-D tiles?
3-D tiles are exactly what they sound like. Instead of being flat and smooth, they’re shaped into 3-D shapes – such as these recessed kitchen tiles in pink and grey.
3D tiles are available in a range of different shapes and colors, including matte or glossy finishes. They’re a great way to add texture to your kitchen design and do something a little bit different.
How to use 3-D tiles in your kitchen remodel
3D tiles add depth and texture. That means they attract attention – but they also risk looking dark or cluttered.
To show your 3D tiles to good effect, try contrasting them with plain, painted walls and monochrome cabinets. This gives the tiles space to shine.
Depending on the style you prefer, you can use 3D tiles in different ways. For example, a mix-and-match collection of 3D tiles would look great as an accent wall in a rustic or vintage setting; while a sheet of matching tiles looks elegant as part of a modern, minimalist design.
